Apparently, as long as gay marriage is legal, according to the anti-gay marriage folks, "...teachers will be required to teach young children there is no difference between gay marriage and traditional marriage" starting in Kindergarten, no less!
The whole story is here. And yes, those wingnuts actually live in this state. Some of them even live in this city.
Now for something not so serious, I'm getting dental work done in the first week of August (getting a crown done) and I'm looking for recommendations on music to try and drown out the noise from the drill!
I've got some Metallica, so that's not a problem. But I'd like to have something besides that to listen to while I'm in the chair!
Any ideas?

Date: 2008-07-26 07:43 am (UTC)the parents of one of the students i will have this year asked his teacher last year not to teach their son about "the gay agenda". o.O what? but that's in the curriculum! i can't possibly give up my lessons/unit (ehehehehe unit) on the gay agenda! *eyeroll* IDIOTS!
