*clears throat & jumps on soapbox*
Nov. 24th, 2003 11:08 amI have something to say.
In a couple of months, I'm moving to California. Really.
This was a hard decision for me to make, but a lot of it was motivated by a need to just get out of town - and out of my job, especially since the job market around here just sucks.
I'm comfortable with this decision, and while I do have the occasional nervousness, I think that just goes with any change - and if I weren't nervous, something would have to be seriously wrong with me.
The big trip-up though, is the whole Firstborn thing. The fact that I'm so used to being the one that takes care of everyone, and is the responsible one. For once, I'm doing something for ME, and while I know that it's okay for me to do it, it sometimes feels odd to be doing it.
I'll get over it. I've got the support of those I love, and those that matter to me. :)
It's just taking these small steps that feel like giant leaps.

When I got home from work tonight, I ended up watching my tape of the Sharon Osborne Show ... after fast-forwarding through everything else that was on before it, as I can't program a VCR for anything. :-/
Anyways, the show was great - when I fast-forwarded through Ali Landry & the Hugh Hefner interviews (blah - who cares?). Dita ... gorgeous thing, isn't she? Great body, beautiful face, gorgeous voice ... pardon me while I try to exorcise thoughts of a threesome with her and Steven Page from my head. ;)
As for Steve's onstage heterosexual life partner, Ed ... Oh. My. Gord. I was dying laughing. Not just at his being naked save for that ill-fitting purple thong, but also over the fact that he was chasing Anthony Anderson around the studio, schwanz out for all to see ... sweet jeebus.
And I know that I'll probably have fellow Stevewomen (and any men) ready to wring my neck for saying this, but I'm kinda glad that Steve didn't get nekkid. Don't get me wrong - I'm just like any other red-blooded bisexual woman, and while I do occasionally have bad thoughts about Steve (hehe), I'd rather not see him in the Full Monty if I can avoid it. The pics here are a couple of years old (like 1999), but they give you an idea of why he was best off dressed: Scroll to the bottom - and don't say that I didn't warn you!
I will say that you've gotta love Kevin for at least taking his shirt off. Very nice. ;) I love that he's slowly but surely obviating his image as the Sweet-and-Innocent, Can-Do-No-Wrong-Kevin. And showing off a decent body in the process. Woohooo!
