hiddenmuseThank God (and everyone else) that tomorrow is Friday!! Not that I'd had a crappy week - it was fairly decent, actually - I'm just glad that the weekend is near. Perhaps I can work on getting some sleep this weekend, so I can avoid sleep-walking through next week.
Besides, tomorrow evening, the Personal Lines department is finally having their long-postponed Ladies Night. No, this won't involve near-barenaked men and dollar bills in thongs ... nor will it involve any of us getting shitfaced and performing the world's worst karaoke. Actually, we're going out to dinner to celebrate one of our co-workers having made it through her first 90 days - you know, the ever-so-joyous probationary period.
Tomorrow is definitely a "play my Great Big Sea and Barenaked Ladies CDs at work" day. :) Just on the merit of it being Friday, of course.
To be utterly random ... I was reading the Riverfront Times (local alternative weekly) this morning and geeking out over the fact that Placebo have a new CD out ... as well as getting into the reviewer mentioning that Brian Molko describes himself as "a faggot that fucks your girlfriend". Love that self-description. It's pefectly subversive ... and makes you almost do a double-take. {No worries - I won't be deserting my crush on my favorite hetero Daddy Bear - Steven Page - anytime soon. Brian may have that "way too in touch with his Inner Nancy Boi" thing down to an art, and while that may get a few faghags *coughmecough* all swoony ... he's just too whiny & strident for my tastes.} Besides that, there was a cool article about Ween (thought of you when I read it, Jenne!) and of course, my addiction - Savage Love.
Now, I'm going to get my clothes from the dryer and take a hell of a lot of Advil before going to bed. Good night everyone! Have a great tomorrow!
