Happiness Pie
Apr. 22nd, 2003 07:48 pmAfter going through a small spate of work-related emergencies, mainly involving trying to resist the temptation to strangle producers that expect us to work miracles ... after work was better.
Went to my doctor's appointment (about 15 minutes late ... ooops!), and the doc wasn't the most cooperative about changing my allergy meds, instead suggesting that I take 1.5 Allegra when I know that I'll be around allergy-causing pets. Ummmm, swell idea, but since Claritin is generic, my insurance company has hiked up the co-pay on Allegra - and I refuse to pay $25 for something I just take as-needed. I'll try the store brand of Claritin instead. Besides that, all went well.
After that, I decided to go out to a Thai restaurant near my office (Rearn Thai ... you don't know *how much* I want to keep calling it "Hearn Thai") for spring rolls and Pad Thai. Verrrry yummy stuff. That was my first time having Pad Thai, and it was so good, I almost ate the entire serving - but stopped after eating half of it, because I want some for dinner tomorrow night! {Yes, "Hearn Thai", where you can have pints of Guinness with your Pad Thai and Pad Khing}
When I finally got my ass home, I turned off MSN Messenger and AIM - not to be rude to anyone, but I just feel extremely tired - and checked out the BNL Blog, which as always, had me laughing my ass off. I *loved* Tyler's comment about his 2 year old daughter getting all hopped up on chocolate (honestly, I think chocolate was about 60% of it. the remaining 40% comes from Miss Hazel being a redhead). And Steve ... well, if he weren't married & I didn't have a sweetie ... I'd take him home with me to spend a damn long time being geeks, and taking it from there. Or something. (Long story short, Le Sigh)
