I've been a total shopping whore lately. Yet, I've gotten a lot for just a little money. :)

Just the other night, I'd gotten a Wacoal bra on clearance for $13.50 (original price was $54) - I don't know what the big to-do is over Wacoal, it wears just like any other bra. But it was nice to have something that feels terribly indulgent in my wardroble.

Today, I'd gone to the mall with my mom & sister, which was very fun, albeit somewhat tiring. Taylor wanted to go into a store called Deb, which specializes in Juniors clothes. *rolls eyes* Surprisingly enough, I came away with a few things from there. Okay, so it was accessories - the usual stuff I'd get at those kinds of shops, even when I was her age - but I still got some goodies.

They had some of their stuff marked down, with an extra 25% off the clearance price, so I bought Taylor 6 pairs of socks for under $8. I bought two faceplates for my phone - one is pink glitter & says "Princess", the other is a cool blue/purple/white tropical flower print, and a keypad for less than $10.

Did some damage at Famous-Barr (with coupons, no less). Well, mom did more damage than me, actually! But I came away with a top that has a screenprinted image of what looks like a Roy Lichtenstein painting of a couple kissing, with a thought bubble over the woman's head that says "True Love". On the back are three red hearts in a rhinestone-y style, and the sleeves are long, sheer and black. $54 top - got it for less than $5. Also got a pair of Dockers pants for work - they were on sale for $21.99. :)

Then, I went to Old Navy and bought a pair of men's khaki cargo pants, an anorak and a shirt for the 4th of July (yes, I do give in and show some patriotic spirit ... surprise surprise. Although ... I could go really anarchistic and unearth last year's Canada Day shirt from the Old Navy in Toronto ... hehe)

After all that excitement, I came home, kicked off my shoes and I'm sitting here, blogging about it all. I may go out again later, as I do have to pick up a get-well card for my stepdad. Well, I don't have to, but I think it would be appreciated. :)

I'll be going to my parents' tomorrow for Easter, this will be fun. Especially since my stepdad is still a bit groggy from the meds, and occasionally sore from the accident.

I love the plus size Deb in the mall of america, even though I can't wear their jeans...they're all, like, 30 inch inseam. They have some of the best trendiest clothes and even though some of their sizes are insanely small I can usually find a good sweater or shirt or pj set on clearance for, like, $1. Their season closeouts are the best, there are so many racks of clothes in that store that half the store will be clearance. And like you said, they have great little gifts and accessories like socks, frames, car things, and shawls. My friends and I always went looking for our Prom and formal dresses there, they'd have formal dresses on clearance for $10.

They also have great shoes there, they seem to specialize in platforms...I had a friend that was 4' 11" and she bought all her 3" platforms from Deb.;)

I've never heard of any of those stores, I feel like a bum! Hey, I appreciate a good bargain shop. I love it when I go to the Ontario Mills Outlet Mall and rip off JC Penny's. They usually have things (cute things) in my size, for less than what I would pay in the regular store. Being in SoCal, the regular stores refuse to believe that there are women my size that like to wear cute things, either that or they think I shouldn't. Either way, the outlet mall has it goin' on.

i did some damage shopping too. since ive lost weight i can fit into a size 20 and have gone crazy at old navy, gap and victoria's secret (well, i can fit into their clothes that are sized XL, but they dont have numbered clothes sized above 16). i shouldnt spend all my money since i know it doesnt grow on trees, but its nice to go a little insane every now and again.
