Feb. 15th, 2003 11:07 amYesterday was a good day. I spent Valentine's Day (or "Fallontine's Day" as Kellie calls it) with my mom & sister, doing the 'dinner and a movie' thing. We'd gone out to see How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, which was a suprisingly good movie. :) {For the guys that risk being drug out to see it by anyone of the female persuasion - it's not *that* chick-flick, so don't worry.} Kate Hudson is a good actress, and looks quite a bit like her mum, Goldie Hawn. Matthew McConaghey (sp?) is yummy - and I'd never really seen any of his films before, but he's pretty darn good. And for all two or three of you that remember the MTV show The State, Thomas Lennon is in the film. :)
After that, it was a quick stop-over at McDonalds, then we went home & watched another film - Legally Blonde. I got to spoil the doggies - Libby, despite being 6 months old and over 50 pounds, still thinks she is a lap dog. This is quite funny, since she'll stretch out across the couch, then ambush you. Annabelle - since she's a little dog - is still looked at by Libby as being her own personal chew toy at times. But Annabelle usually runs with it - and gets Libby back when she's not up to playing.
Still, it was good to spend time with my family and see the pets.
In other things ... Thursday night, I did the absolutely less-than-brilliant and smacked myself right in the bridge of my nose, knocking my glasses off my face and leaving a sore spot. No bruising, just soreness. (Yeah, I was beating myself up again. I know, I've gotta stop doing that.)
At USU (Utah State), where my brother is going to school, they had a Valentine's Day dance last night - with Elvis Presley "marrying" people. Yes, Kellie, Dan got to be Elvis for the night - white jumpsuit, blue suede shoes and all. We haven't heard a report from him on how it went (yet), but he was told to get LOTS of pictures. This should be fun. ;)
Sid's burial has been postponed until the springtime, as the weather is too unpredictable - and with the rain, the ground is too mushy. In the meantime, he is being cryogenically preserved (read: stuck in the basement freezer, all wrapped up).

Date: 2003-02-15 09:58 am (UTC)Libby and Annabelle are so cute... I am not a small dog person, but Annabelle just likes me too much to resist! But Libby is truly my kinda dog. :)
