I hate food poisoning.

Yesterday, I'd gone to the new Panera Bread that opened in San Francisco recently ... only to end up feeling horrendous after eating my lunch. I thought it was indigestion - something that could be remedied with some Pepto-Bismol. Yeah ... not quite.

I knew it was really bad when I couldn't even keep water down. I'd spent a good part of today feeling funky and out of it - yet, I was able to eat crackers and drink 7-Up and ginger ale with no problems.

Of course, now there's a part of me that wants to eat all kinds of things, but realistically, it's not gonna happen. Maybe tomorrow. Besides, my head still hurts like hell.

On a happier note - I wanted to share this:

If it was right after lunch, it wasn't Panera that did it to you.

Well, I'd had the upset stomach after lunch - and I thought it was eating too much (even though I hadn't) - then, as the day went on, I really felt like crap.

It generally takes several hours before you will see the first signs of food poisoning. The bacteria needs time to incubate in your body. Two hours bare minimum, more likely to be at least six hours, but sometimes as long as 24 to 48 hours later.

Hmmmm ... then maybe it was something I'd eaten the night before.

Whatever it was, I've finally gotten my appetite back and I'm feeling "human" again!

Yeah, it does suck - I'm sure that I'll be pretty well recovered by tomorrow. :)

I do that. *blushes*

Of course, there are only so many intelligent things you can say when the being your saying them to just looks at you... if you're lucky.

I do the exact same thing! With cats - and dogs. It sounds really stupid, but I think that's just my immediate reaction! Especially when I see them on commercials - I'm immediately like "Puppies!!" squeeing like an idiot.

Aw man being sick is really not fun. feel better soon!!

Oh, and I do the kitty thing with just about any animal, but it's REALLY bad with ponies. I just about gave my mom a heart attack last year when we were driving up her road (she lives in the boonies surrounded by farm animals) and I screamed "PONY!!!!!!!!!!" when we drove by one.

I swear I'm 29 and not 4.

Oh god - I'd probably do the same thing! I know that my mom probably thinks I'm insane for squeeing over cats and dogs like I'm a little kid!

Oh gosh, that sucks about being sick. I hope you feel better soon. :)

Also, that kitty thing is from xkcd, right? I love that site. :)

I'm starting to feel better - thanks!

Yes, the kitty thing did come from xkcd - I'd spent last night looking at the other cartoons and just dying laughing.

Glad you're feeling better.

Make sure you hover your mouse over the images at xkcd. The alternate text is the punchline many times. :)

Ah yes ... I went back and re-read the cartoons, making sure to keep the mouse over them - and they were quite funny! :-)
