Figuring Out Blue's Clues

hiddenmuseI am a dork. Seriously. I watch "Blue's Clues" whenever I get the chance. Not because I have kids, but because when I lived at home, my sister was really into "Blue's Clues" ... and like many women (and moms) out there, I developed a crush on Steve Burns. He was damn cute, great with kids and off-camera, he has a great sense of humour. :)
Then, Steve left the show, and "Joe" took his place. Let me put it this way. It was exactly like MST3K when Mike Nelson took over. It just wasn't as fun and cool. It became harder to find a reason to watch, because it wasn't the same. To put it simply, in my sister's words, "Joe's an idiot." I'd say dumbass, but not around her.
So, yeah ... watching the Barenaked Ladies DVD and hearing Steven Page comment that he's been watching a lot of "Blue's Clues" since he has kids and that as far as he concerned, the world is Steve. I was so geeked out hearing that. Especially considering that this was from '02 ... and Joe has been on "Blue's Clues" for almost a year now. Steven Page is a Steve from Blue's Clues man. And of course, he has to be married, dammit.
The funny thing is, I could probably get him geeking out if I said - "'Blue's Clues' fan, eh? Did you see Joe replacing Steve as being just like MST3K, when Mike replaced Joel, too?" (Okay, maybe not. But allow me my intermittent delusions, please.)
