Stuff I want to get from Napster

I've been thinking of getting a few new tunes from Napster - and I thought I'd get some suggestions/ideas while I was at it.
Here's what I'm looking to get:
Elvis Costello - "Alison"
Betty - "It Girl"
Sebadoh - "Round And Round" (yes, as in Ratt's "Round And Round". This is an acoustic version, apparently.)
Petra Hayden - "I Can See For Miles And Miles"
Maybe even some more Lewis Black comedy. I've practically memorized the "IHOP" piece ... could use some more new stuff.
Since my musical tastes are all over the place (disco, country, metal, emo, punk, jazz) - I'd love to see what you have to suggest! :-)

Date: 2005-03-16 06:54 pm (UTC)I love Lewis. *squeezes him till he can't breathe* I saw him live in Raleigh back in 2003, was supposed to see him right here in Asheville last spring but he cancelled (and I had front row seats!!! Oh, the disappointment). He's da man. (Which reminds me, I have to order his book.)

Date: 2005-03-16 08:00 pm (UTC)I've got The Killers "Somebody Told Me" - excellent song. Love it so much.
I also love that White Town song - haven't heard it in a million years. :) Also like The Meat Puppets - especially the song "Backwater". And with Weezer, I really like "Island In The Sun" - it sounds kind of fun and happy ... and puts me in a decent mood.
Okay, so you've brought out the Music Dork in me. ;)

You should try to get on that fairly quickly since songs usually aren't available for more than a week and that was posted yesterday. While you're there I recommend getting Holly Beth Vincent's cover of the Dixie Cups' "Chapel Of Love." It's rockin'.
I've been on a chick music thing lately, so here are some of my favorites in heavy rotation right now that I think you might like, if you don't already have them:
"At Last"-Etta James
"Nothing Compares 2 U"-Sinead O'Connor
"Rhythm Nation"-Janet Jackson
"You Outta Know"-Alanis Morissette
"Hittin' On Nothing"-Irma Thomas
"D-I-V-O-R-C-E"-Tammy Wynette
"Headphones"-Bjork
"Midsummer New York"-Yoko Ono
"Day 37"-Alison Pipitone
"Tiptoe"-Ani DiFranco
