I hate the instances where I have to play Miss Deferential and make nice with jackass customers. Especially after I've gotten a flu shot and my arm is sore.
I have a situation that risks turning all kinds of ugly - and I'll admit that I'm partially to blame. Still. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to put in activities for calls that come in, and applications that were done - especially when I'm out of town.
It sucks that I came back to no information whatsoever on this, and had to work with the piecemeal information that I did have. I come back to almost 100 e-mails and G*d only knows what else - and did what I could to get things squared away.
Now, as I said, I'm partially to blame on this. I know that when our clients are purchasing properties, time is of the essence. Unfortunately, I lagged on getting back to the client's request - so yeah, I did kind of shoot myself in the foot with that one.
So I do what I can to compensate, and I've been on top of this, dealing with the fact that the client calls daily - sometimes a few times a day - to find out what's going on. My last call to him, I got read a riot act, and told of how our agency's name would be cursed to said client's friends and family - and how the business would be taken elsewhere.
Fine, okay, I get it. I suck. May I have another, sir?
