I am seriously peeved.

Victoria's Secret (at least the store near my office) is no longer carrying any bras above 38DD in their stores. Sure, they can be ordered online, but I'd prefer to try a bra on to ensure that it actually fits.

Pardon me while I pout over this. :-/

Then again, I suppose it wasn't *that much* of a loss for me, as they only had two or three styles that I could actually wear. Still, I am rather bummed over this.


In the meantime, I did want a better bra, as the padded t-shirt style are for the birds (the padding warps really nicely and doesn't retain its shape, giving me a swell implant-like ridge), and the Vic's Secret (and Lane Bryant - sorry, Kellie) bras aren't the most supportive.

So, what's a girl to do? Why, run across the street to Macy's, of course, and finally break down & pay full price (over $50) for a damn good Walcoal bra, that actually fits. Yes, I almost cried when I paid what I did for one bra - especially since I could get 2 at my former purveyor of bras for the same price. But, I've known Walcoal to be really good, very high quality, and certainly worth the money.

This is what I bought - only it's in a swell periwinkle blue: Ooooh, Boobies!


I know, I'll probably be teased because I want the girls to actually be supported - or as Kellie might consider it, "restrained". But, I'd rather not give off the appearance of Free Range Boobies - especially in public. (Yeah yeah, I know, it makes me seem all prim and proper ... so what.)

Don't listen to them. I have said on many occassion that there is no reason or excuse for saggy boobs (when dressed).

If you're more comfortable with a bra, more power to you.

As for VS, if you want to retaliate a little bit, order a bunch of Bras online and then return some to the store. If they ask why you return so much then say "Well, since you stopped carrying them in the store I have to order them online and thus cannot test fit and comfort before I purchase."

Walcoal bras rock!! Those are the bras they gave me on "What Not To Wear" and I love them to death, though how I'm gonna afford some new ones is a puzzler. I might have to go back on my all-rice diet for a few weeks. I really don't like wearing bras, but I realize the necessity of wearing them since my tits are massive. Once I'm in the privacy of my own home, though, off it goes. My boobs need to breathe free.

Pssst! Don't know if you read my VS entry previous, but I was plagued with the same damned problem. Luckily, I am a 40DD and just made the 38DD fit. There was a time when I could walk in there and simply have my choice of bras... god, I luff their bras. *sigh* Anyway, I asked the clerk, "Geez, why don't you just hang a 'No fat chicks' sign in the window!?"

1) I only suggested Lane Bryant because they carry your size and you were bitching about paying too much and finding a style that fits. I can't wear their bras at all, now that my band size is too small.

2) Only one style at VS fits me, and I have no problem buying multiple bras of the same style. It's the only bra I wear cause it works for me. I think it supports me very well, thankyouverymuch. That doesn't mean it will work for you -- and I never said it did.

3) Of course you should be supported. And I never said that you shouldn't. And where did "restrained" come in? I have *never* said that to you. Ever. Nor did I suggest that you give the appearance of free rangers. All I said is that you wear your bras really tight. That's not the same thing as unsupportive. Your band is usually stretched to the max in the back, and the straps and wires leave marks on you. That's not supportive -- supportive is how the cup holds the breast. That's just too damn tight.

I'm glad you found one that works for you. After all, that is what matters.
