Not too much going on right now - kind of the same old, same old. So I won't bore you with those details.

Besides that, nothing on the excitement level of "shattering a shower door into eleventy million pieces" has happened either. Unless you count my losing my debit card over the weekend - and going slightly bezerkers in the process - as exciting.

Yes - at some point during the weekend, I lost my debit card. Maybe it was on Friday night. It might've been on Saturday. Whenever it was, I didn't realize it until Sunday afternoon, and when I got home from doing the animal shelter/ downtown run/ laundry pick-up running, I had a freakout.

I re-traced my steps through the apartment, looking through the garbage cans, purses, grocery bags, pants and jacket pockets, and even various drawers. Kellie helped out the best that she could, trying to get me to remember when I last saw and/or used the card. Unfortunately, I was frazzled and my thinking wasn't all there.

The next day, I called the places we'd gone, where I may have misplaced the card - only to find out that they didn't have the card. In the evening, when I plugged in my phone to charge it, it beeped to indicate that I had messages. When I checked the messages, there was one from Saturday, from my bank. Apparently someone had found my card and called the bank to report it as lost. They were calling to let me know about this, as well as the fact that the card had been frozen, to prevent it from being used.

Today, I went to the bank and ordered a new card. So in about a week, I'll have a new card. Hopefully I won't lose this one!!

Hmmmmm, in Shelter News ... there are several new puppies and kitties to fall in love with! Also, in time for the Holidays, Pets Unlimited is running a program from December 6 - 24, where for a donation of $20, you can sponsor a cat or dog of your choice! In return, you'll get a holiday ornament with their photograph, as well as the satisfaction of knowing that you're helping some very wonderful, lovely animals. :-)

Scully - a pretty 7 month old female Tortie cat.

Mulder - of course, there would be a "Mulder" for the "Scully" in the shelter! He's an 8 month old gray tabby.

Rusty - he's a 6 month old red tabby/white kitten. Very handsome and friendly!

Simone - ever the princess, she likes to be the center of attention in the Kitten Room!

Phil - He may have one eye, but he's still quite a love kitty!

I heart gimpy animals. Before we decided on Iggy, we wanted to apply for this Pug that only had 1 ear and 1 eye. A little girl wanted him so much that we couldn't take him away from her.

I would take Phil in a second if I could.

Yeah, Phil's a sweet, mellow cat.

I kind of wish that they had pictures of Brother Ray or Hermie on the site, because they're both "gimpy cats" as well. Brother Ray lost an eye, but he's a very sweet kitten, and Hermie was actually born a hermaphrodite, and in the process of the surgeries, there were some problems, and he lost one of his back legs. He gets around quite well, though - and he's a sweet little guy. :)
