Last night I worked out - fiercely. And I discovered something - while many people like to work out to upbeat pop-py dance music, or even house music, some even preferring to sweat it out to the Oldies ... I was really working my ass off while watching something on VH1 about the 100 Greatest Musicians of Hard Rock.
Yes, Ministry, Megadeth, Anthrax, Metallica, AC/DC, Nine Inch Nails, and L7 got my ass going - and kept it there. Perhaps even some Pixies and Foo Fighters for coming down.
I'm an odd bird, I know. But hey, the hard rock and metal kept me going with my cardio routine for almost an hour - then I went onto my strength training for a half-hour or so.
If only I had all of that music - I could switch out my stuff on the MP3 player, and replace it with the harder stuff that keeps me going on the bike and treadmill.
