I don't know what's wrong with me today ... I'm feeling so out of it, so depressed and just like I don't really want to be here at all.
Instead, I just feel like I want to stay in bed and sleep through the rest of this week, that burrowing under the covers and ignoring everything would somehow be better than having to face it all head-on.
The weekend went pretty well - visited with friends from in town and out of town, got to walk dogs on Sunday, talked to my family last night ... sort of the usual routine.
Unfortunately, things were up-ended by the Department of Forestry jackasses coming around on Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m. to wake everyone up to the sound of band saws and lumber being cut to go around the trees, prior to pouring new concrete sidewalks. (Can't be pouring concrete on the tree roots, you know!) I'd gotten all of about 5 hours' sleep thanks to that ... so I was feeling headache-y the next day. Damn sleep deprivation.
Otherwise, I've gotten my period for the 3rd time in 6 weeks. I had one in mid-July - no problem. Then, I had several days of spotting - strange, but I could live with it. A week after that, I started my period again. This Saturday, it happened yet again.
I'm assuming that it's my body trying to find its cycle - figuring out how to sync itself with Kellie's (weird, I know ... but the day after I started ... guess what happened?) - but I am watching it. If I keep having periods every two to three weeks over the next couple of months, then I will be getting into a gynecologist ASAP - because I'd want to make sure that I haven't developed some strange hormonal imbalance.
Ah well ... I'm so used to being an every-28-to-30-days sort of girl, that this is messing with my head!! :(
