Finally Friday!
Feb. 13th, 2004 10:14 amI called the doctor yesterday, and went in to get checked out. It turns out that I have another bout of bronchitis, along with a swell sinus infection. {/sarcasm} So, it's back onto the antibiotics and other fun meds.
This morning, however, I'm still feeling (and sounding) a bit crappy. Probably because last night was show night - and people tend to smoke like chimneys in that place - and I wasn't about to miss a show in my last month because of this respiratory mess.
Despite the flare-up, I'm doing alright. The show was incredibly fun - especially since it was a one-year anniversary! I got a lot of pictures (of course), got in free (again - apparently it'll be that way for the month), and found that I seem to be a Drunk Girl Magnettm. Yeah, something about me seems to draw in the drunk girls - causing them to hit on me, flirt with me, or just prattle on about how I'm so cool and seem to be such a fun person - while they're almost falling off their bar stools.
Since Tyson probably doesn't read this, I can say this without worrying over repercussions: Ty, sweetie, I love you - but why did you shave off the goatee and leave the mustache? It's like you're trying to be the Daddy Bear in the next generation of the Village People or something! :-X Okay, so it's probably for Glengarry Glen Ross, which I can understand, but I will certainly be glad to see the goatee returning (and there are probably others that concur with me on that one)!
And Josh is continuing to endear himself to me. Last night, he told me that he was glad to see me at the shows, and appreciated the support I gave the NPs, as well as telling me that I am a Non Prophet - no matter where I go, I will always be a Non Prophet and a part of their extended family. :) After the show, he said that he would give me his brother's contact information, so I would be able to say that I know another person in SF besides Kellie - then, in front of Tyson, Schmack and Matt(?), announced that he wanted the show on the 26th to be "Carly's night - it'll be all about Carly ... because she's been the fan of fans!" I wanted to blush just a bit when I heard that, because it was quite flattering, really.
So, who knows what'll happen that night?
