I Cry Because I'm Happy
Jan. 30th, 2004 09:26 amI know, I'm at work and this is a bit illicit ... but I just had to share this.
This morning, I talked to my mom on the phone and told her that I was getting things in line for my COBRA (health insurance coverage after I leave the agency) - and for once, she sounded like she is genuinely happy for me and supportive of the move.
I feel such a sense of relief, and it makes me feel better to know that I have a vote of confidence from them, if you will - that my plans aren't being talked down, and I'm not being talked out of moving.
Today, I give my notice with the landlord. This weekend, I let my friends in The Non Prophets know that I'm moving - currently only Tyson, David and Blaise know. In two weeks, I give notice at work.
In other news - Caffeine is the nectar of the Gods. I'll probably end up drinking it until I hallucinate, but that's okay. (Actually, that happened to me about 2 years ago ... in the middle of my Insurance Licensing classes. Scary - but I did stay awake.)
