The Unavoidable Pleasure of Insomnia

Last night, I was in bed by 11:30, but didn't get to sleep until 1:00 this morning. This is not cool - especially since I'm at higher risk of seizures right now (not just from lack of sleep, either).

I'm still buzzing from the concert Saturday night - amazing how those sort of things work, isn't it? Then again, when you've gotten through college with a band and their music, being able to finally see them live is more meaningful. (If you're in your 20s - 30s, you've probably listened to New Miserable Experience at least once and had one song or another remind you of the good times, get you through the bad times, or whatever.) If not - get out from that rock you're hiding underneath and join the rest of us in the 21st century. :)

I don't plan on leaving Kellie - or any of my future ex-husbands - for him, but Jesse Valenzuela is not only a damn good guitarist, but he's got a decent voice, too. So, get over to the site - there's a few MP3s, so you can hear a few of the tracks from his CD, Tunes Young People Will Enjoy, and you know the spiel ... so I'll stop being a Jesse Valenzuela/Gin Blossoms pimp for now.

bitchy badass tuesday

I wasn't being bitchy, nor was I a badass ... just felt like saying it. :)

Due to that lovely bout of insomnia, I have a headache. That and being outside this evening riled up my allergies pretty badly. (Note to self: Allegra takes about 2 hours to kick in ... take it *before* going outside, not *while* outside...) Anywho, I was out for good reason ... I had to get more music porn. (Yes, the Gins DVD ... I'm waiting on Dusted for when I have more money.)

You know, I had more to say ... but I can't think of it. All I can think is "Advil. Lots of Advil. And bed - soon." So, with that, I say goodnight my lovelies and others. Hopefully Wednesday can be a better day for us all. :)
