(no subject)

I'm a happy girl - but an idiot at the same time. Happy because I have the puppy (Annabelle, my monkeybird), and an idiot because I'd forgotten that Kellie was going to Santa Barbara this weekend ... until I read the BNL Blog and Steve's talking about driving in Santa Barbara. (oops!) Apparently as Karmic Retribution, my allergies are acting up something awful. It's probably from the dog, because I didn't have any problems until this afternoon. (I'd been alright taking Allegra or Claritin before bedtime and that seemed to work - until now.) Even that 2d dose of Claritin isn't cutting it. :(


As I'm writing this, Annabelle (the possible allergy attack source) is sitting at my feet. There's no way I could kick her out - she's too sweet and gentle to do that to - besides, this is a new place for her, and I don't want to bear listening to her whining and whimpering because she's a lonely dog. (Yes, I'm such a soft spot when it comes to pets. Guilty as charged.)


Tomorrow, I'm going to try and take her out to the park near my apartment - so she can walk near the lake and chase the Canadian Geese around ... okay, maybe not. Those buggers are *huge* compared to Annabelle. ;)

Well, I've got the signal - it's time to take her out again!

Well, I think I found the possible culprit in my allergies. Not the beloved houseguest - more like whatever is brewing in the air today. Don't know if its ragweed, pollen, mold, people cutting their lawns or what - but something in the air had me feeling all congested and had me near-wheezing when I was walking the dog earlier tonight. Blah. Allergies suck, no matter what brings them on.

Now, I get to go outside one last time - with the dog - before I go to bed. Then tomorrow, I get to take her out for walks (at least around the block) and maybe to the park if the allergen counts aren't too high.

No matter what, I'm still going through with my plans to see the Gin Blossoms downtown tomorrow night. I've waited almost 10 friggin' years for this chance (pathetic, I know), I'm not about to pass it up again, dammit. :-D
