I think I found out part of the reason I was feeling so miserable the past few days. Yes, it was PMS doing a great job of knocking me on my ass.

Before I get into the good stuff, I should get the grumping and grumbling out of the way first. Otherwise, the good news would be tainted by negativity.

First, it was .... )

Followed by... )

You thought that was bad...? )

And for the pièce de résistance... )

But, it's not all bad, I promise. I do have some good stuff to talk about. :)

Dog News: Since I'm a Dog Mom by Association, I have news about the pets. Libby is doing well - still getting along with Annabelle and Snickers, still eating Snickers' cat chow, and being a hyper puppy. She's apparently hooked on dog treats, her "cookies", with her favorites being the animal crackers and the pressed cookies. Mom asks her if she wants a cookie and she goes nuts. Annabelle likes the animal crackers, because they're small enough for her to eat. She also likes to eat Libby's puppy chow, and when Libby caught her in the bowl noshing away, Annabelle looked at her and growled - as though it were her food to begin with!

Party Girl: The next two weekends, I'll be a regular Party Girl. Or, at least feel like one! This Saturday, I was invited to a graduation party for one of the daughters of the company president. She's someone that I'm pretty well-acquainted with, and when I talked to her mom today, I was invited to their house for the graduation party. :) That evening, if I can make it, there's the church Christmas party. I'll see how I feel after the graduation party!

Of course, the next day, I get to see Taylor skating in her Christmas show. This is also a chance to see my brother, and lavish attention on the dogs.

Next week, I have the work Christmas party on the 20th. We leave work early to go out for lunch at a restaurant I'm not familiar with, then get to leave after the meal & gift exchange. The next day, Taylor's skating coach is having a team Christmas party - free skating and fun for all. That evening, the church Christmas party at my parents' church.

Like I said ... I'll be one busy girl. Don't think my social life has been this busy in ... a long while, I'll just leave it at that.

Sometimes, people say the oddest things. I know what they're getting at, but upon first listen, they're funny as anything.

Like the client I was explaining Umbrella coverage (see my last entry) to - when I gave her an example of why the coverage is important, this is what happened:

Me: Well, something that could happen would be that a person might slip and fall on a patch of ice on your sidewalk. They'd get hurt, then threaten to sue you.

Client: That wouldn't happen. We keep our sidewalks clear.

Of course, I'm thinking to myself, "Do you go out and salt down the sidewalk at 3 o'clock in the morning after a late-night ice storm?"

ANYTHING can happen, and we're trying to insure people against those remote possibilities. But still ... the mental image of this client or her husband going out in the middle of the night to salt down their sidewalk to keep people from falling down ... hehe
