blah blah blah

Earlier this afternoon, I had a company drop a bombshell in my lap. One that was bad enough to get this pathetic emo-girl ready to just come undone, along the lines of crawling under my desk and crying. That, or running out to Ben & Jerry's and diving face-first into a 5 gallon vat of Phish Food.
Instead of "eating my emotions", I took a walk. Went to the Van Heusen Factory Outlet Store ... just down the street from work ... to try on clothes. Unfortunately, it was all polo shirts that looked like I was ready for the LPGA and pants that could be hiked up to about 4 inches above my waistline (total Mom Jeans).
I just laughed about the Mom Jeans/LPGA thing, because I thought it was pretty damn funny.
Now, I'm sitting here and thinking of the fact that the person that had my job was unfortunately a bit of a jackass, and that sometimes, the company people can be jackasses, too. And that, really, I shouldn't let it get to me.
I'm happy that I'm here - that if I need it, I can step away from my desk for a minute without a neverending interrogation. That if I want to step outside for some fresh air, a Caffeine-Free Coke or something from Starbucks - I can do it, without getting run out of town.
If you'll excuse me, it's about time for me to go home. I want to make a stopover at Old Navy for a non-LPGA polo shirt, then, I'm going home to make dinner for my bebeh. :-D
