Another job update. The job I wrote about yesterday is not a problem - apparently they decided to pass on me.
In the meantime, I am doing my damndest to get into a pre-licensing class to increase my chances of getting work. Technically, I only have to take a 12 hour class on Ethics and the California Insurance Code - but in reviewing the information needed to pass the test, I decided that perhaps I should take the full 52 hour class on Fire and Casualty/Code and Ethics. This way, I'll be more well-versed in the particulars of California insurance, I can better serve my clients, and be able to better represent any agency I work for. (Translation: I am a full-on geek, and I like torturing myself.)
Later this afternoon, I have a job interview with an agency in the middle of East Jesus (okay, so it would take me over 45 minutes to get there on Muni...), and I may have a 2nd interview with the first agency I interviewed with. Yes, it seems that they liked me enough to want me to come back around.
So, yeah, that's what's going on right now. Hopefully things are going well for you all - and you're all having a good day!
