Okay - that felt better.

I think I just needed to put on my tiara, turn on the S&M CD (Metallica, not kinky sex S&M ... no worries) and try to actually get some stuff done.

As you can probably guess, I haven't recovered yet from playing the department. There is still crap on my desk from Monday - and probably even earlier than that - because I'm still acting as the repository of answers on billing matters, putting out those fires that always come up, and trying to get through the day-to-day work that had to be put on hold because the work Internet connection was petering out yesterday afternoon and much of today. (There goes the quoting, billing and ability to make any changes or answer half the clients' questions!!)

Then, I get home to a computer and/or ISP that are constantly crashing - AOHell seems to love giving me that BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) for some reason. Talking to the High Muckety-Muck's oldest son, it seems that I'm not the only one with computer/ISP issues. Perhaps it's the neighborhood ... or the ISP delivering a trippy little "fuck you, too" in time for the Holidays. So, before I went to work, I set the computer to defrag, to see if there's a snowball's chance in Hades of that even working.

Other than that, I've been feeling grumpy, and since I find that grumpiness can be pandemic, I prefer to just lay low and not share the misanthropy. (Just slide dinner under the door and try to ignore the almost breakneck shift from screaming and pissiness to near-inconsolability to uncontrollable laughter.)

Anyways, I've got to finish things up here ... put some activities in the system, get my papers off the printer and mail out some stuff to clients. And hey - somebody must think I'm special-like or something, I've got a small roll of Necco Wafers on my desk. Yay me. :-D
