I have something to say.

In a couple of months, I'm moving to California. Really.

This was a hard decision for me to make, but a lot of it was motivated by a need to just get out of town - and out of my job, especially since the job market around here just sucks.

I'm comfortable with this decision, and while I do have the occasional nervousness, I think that just goes with any change - and if I weren't nervous, something would have to be seriously wrong with me.


The big trip-up though, is the whole Firstborn thing. The fact that I'm so used to being the one that takes care of everyone, and is the responsible one. For once, I'm doing something for ME, and while I know that it's okay for me to do it, it sometimes feels odd to be doing it.

I'll get over it. I've got the support of those I love, and those that matter to me. :)

It's just taking these small steps that feel like giant leaps.

I'm shocked! And glad for you. Assuming you will be with Kellie, I hope you two are very very happy together. So, are you gonna be So-Cal or No-Cal?

I will be No-Cal (San Francisco), and I'd be staying with Kellie for a short time - probably no more than 2 months - while I look for a place of my own.

Basically, we'd be starting all over again, as she puts it, since we never had a chance to date like an "average couple" does. I'm looking forward to it.
