Another Day, Another $.75
Jul. 29th, 2003 05:15 pmWork is going okay, keeping me plenty busy. I'm not losing sleep over possibly-vindictive people, and I just have to do an occasional mental check - to keep myself grounded, and remember that I could possibly be misconstruing someone because the depression likes to mess with my head.
Two more days until my birthday. I swear, I don't feel 30 yet. Of course, that could change by the time I wake up Thursday morning ... but for now, I still feel pretty young. Also, I've had co-workers tell me to be prepared. They plan on wreaking havoc on my plot in the cube farm for my milestone birthday. And, as one co-worker put it "you've been here longer" - meaning that if I thought they did a bang-up job on Patti's cubicle (and she's been here 6 months), then wait'll I get in and see what they do to mine. I've been warned ... hehe.
Last night was a better night for me. Not perfect, but I was starting to feel better to a degree. Heck, I was able to drag my ass out of the apartment to get a box of hair color and even contemplated making dinner ... then, the heat outdoors and the Effexor hot flashes reminded me that it's pretty damn hot to be cooking. So, I ordered pizza, worked on a story, and colored my hair. A fun, kind of lazy night.
Tonight, I'm going to make a Target run. No real need for anything - just a desire to go out there and salivate over everything I have no use for, and maybe find a couple of things that I "need" for home or the office.
