My hand is fine - the burns seemed to be 1st degree at the most and only needed to be taken care of for two days. :)

I've made the decision to go ahead and increase my Effexor to 300 mgs (or twice daily), as I'd spent the past few days totally overwhelmed by my depression - and my anxiety was at a peak. So, it's about a week or so earlier than I'd anticipated, but it's for the best. Hopefully being on my full dosage can calm my anxiety and help my attention span improve.

Last week, I'd gone to the podiatrist because I've had heel pain for at least 6 years - didn't think to do anything about it because it was intermittent. Then, I got off my ass and decided that I should get it taken care of before it gets worse.

Thankfully the treatment is on the conservative side. Last week, I had my foot "taped and padded" for about 5 days, along with taking Bextra, an anti-inflammatory drug. This week, when I went back in, I was given inserts for my shoes (this means no more sandals. dammit.), a splint to wear at bedtime to keep my foot in proper alignment, exercises to do at home to help the healing process and more Bextra. I'd like to think this will work - especially since the doctor and I have decided that cortisone injections and custom-made orthotics (inserts) would be last resort.

That's about all that's going on now. It's 23 more days until my birthday, and 10 more days until I fly out to Utah to visit my brother. :)

I have to wear inserts in my shoes which sucks 'cos I like to wear sandals until it snows (and then sometimes when it snows. lol) But they make walking a lot comfy-er(sp? it's 4am. sorry. lol)
