Gettin' Slashy....
Jun. 7th, 2003 11:06 pmAhhhh yes ... Saturday night and I'm being a slacker for a purpose. :)
Yes, I have a new icon - courtesy of someone in the
marysues community. Okay, so it's based in Lord of the Rings slash ... but I like it all the same. *eg*
For the few that don't know - slashfic brings out the total girlfag in me. Unfortunately(?) my preferred fandom is always music - especially Placebo and Metallica, with Blur being a recent discovery. I will be polite and spare details, except to say that I know what I like, and how to get it. Somehow, slashfic is like the perfect drug for me.
And for anyone that's taking part in the Fanfic filter I'd set up, I have a new story posted. If you're not in this filter - and want to take part, let me know. Otherwise I'll leave things as-is. :)

Date: 2003-06-07 10:39 pm (UTC)Basically, a "Mary Sue" is a character in a story that is perfect in every way. She can do no wrong, everyone loves her, and the main male character falls madly in love with her (of course). In other words, it's usually the author's idealistic version of herself. Best example of this is actually a male charcter: Wesley Crusher on Star Trek - The Next Generation.
Does that help any?
