hiddenmuseYep ... I'm sick. A fucking respiratory infection - in late May. And now, Kellie is starting to come down with the funk.
I'm probably one of the only people in the world that gets bronchitis (and a sinus infection) close to summertime.
Sleeplessness - because I'm hacking and coughing or blowing my nose - really sucks. Being sore and achy from all the coughing - also no fun. My face being rubbed raw from the kleenex - made of fail.
I've finally gotten around to taking my Zithromax (after a week of my being a sickie) - so it's just a matter of waiting for it to kick in. In the meantime, Kellie and I are busy trying to take care of each other, which is kind of humorous, since she's at the beginning of it, and I'm in the throes of it.
Now, for something a little on the lighter side. On Michael Ian Black's comedy CD, "I Am A Wonderful Man", he does a bit on Satanic Messages, and how as a teenager, they were such a big thing. At the start, he talks about how the performance is being recorded for an album, and says, "It's like fucking Altamont in here! {some applause and laughs} Only without the Hell's Angels! {less applause} Or the murder! {near silence} Okay, some of the murder... {laughs}"
Being a major music geek, I got a laugh out of the "Gimme Shelter" reference - and kind of died a little inside over the collegiate audience not getting it. And I kind of fell in love with Michael Ian Black over that reference alone.
