You know, I learned something today

hiddenmuseOver the last couple of weeks, I've been pondering something: Patton Oswalt has called Cirque Du Soleil, "catnip for old folks".
So, it kind of triggered an odd theory in my head - just go along with me here.... I was thinking, if Cirque Du Soleil is catnip for old folks, then N*Sync was lesbian catnip. Seriously. I knew of at least several women in my life that had at least one N*Sync CD (personally, I was more into Backstreet Boys - must've been AJ and his tats). Now, I have no idea who/what would be considered the catnip for lesbians.
Speaking of ... has anyone else besides me been watching The L Word? This season is pretty interesting, and has certainly gotten me thinking - if only because I want to stab Jenny repeatedly for being such a pompous twat. Someone on a message board/blog I frequent said (in a hijacked item) that Jenny seems to be Ilene Chaiken's manifestation of herself. Or, for my fellow fanfic writers, a Mary Sue. She's pretty and smart and people love her, ad infinitum.
I have no idea who's doing it, but I'm hoping for Jenny to get knocked on her ass. Hard. She's getting on Tina's last nerve with her demands and changes to the script; fucked the girl playing her in "Les Girls"; her assistant, Adele, is an ass-kissing sycophant/fangirl - who has pretty much lied about her background - and I'm just waiting for her to go all Single White Female on Jenny.
And Alice? Love her - hate that she was an idiot for taking a photo of the (very) closeted basketball player at a party that was supposed to be kind of a safe space, then outing said basketball player after he made some Tim Hardaway-worthy homophobic statements. That could seriously blow up in her face - because Tasha may be dragged into it, while she's being investigated by the Army for conduct unbecoming an officer, because she's gay.
So, that's that for now. I have to get dressed, and drag my ass into work now. Oh joy.
