Harsh! If it was me, I would remind my mother, politely, but firmly, that Kelly is now part of the family and since Christmas is a family holiday, she really needs to accept Kelly in that role. If she can't, then she should understand why I won't be making the trip home. I hope your mom gets it together soon.
