Okay, so I'm working on making a couple of playlists for my iPod - and I'll admit that a couple of them are bordering on really, really sick and twisted.

One list is"I Like to Watch - Voyeur Songs", the other is "You Only Stalk The Ones You Love", and I feel like there may be some overlaps.

For the "I Like to Watch" list":

"Mr. Brightside" - The Killers
"Sugar We're Going Down" - Fall Out Boy
"Every Breath You Take" - Juliana Hatfield

For the "You Only Stalk The Ones You Love" list:

"Possum Kingdom" - The Toadies
"Keli Richards" - Gin Blossoms
"It's Warmer In The Basement" - Cobra Starship
"Every Breath You Take" - Juliana Hatfield
"Straw Hat and Old Dirty Hank" - Barenaked Ladies
"If I Can't Have You" - Yvonne Elliman
"Barrel of a Gun" - Guster
"Possession" - Sarah McLachlan
"What Do I Have To Do" - Stabbing Westward

So, yeah ... any suggestions? As you can see, the list is very, very limited. :-(

off the top of my head, "When U Were Mine" is a bit stalkery, pick your version...

I imagine I could come up with some more, I'll have to poke around on the iPod tomorrow at work. Oh, excuse me, "work." (*G*)

And Lucinda Williams -- "Can't Let Go"

He won't take me back when I come around
Says he's sorry then he puts me out
I got a big chain around my neck
And I'm broken down like a train wreck
Well it's over, I know it, but I can't let go.

Tegan & Sara -- "Living Room"

My windows look into your living room
And I spend the afternoon on top of you.

it is... entirely possible you've created a monster here. *G*

Thanks for the suggestions!

And it's alright - I found a few other songs, so they were added to my list in green type!

What about "Lying is the most fun a girl can have with her clothes on" by Panic! that could maybe fit into either list.. :)

You're right - I was thinking about it, and it's definitely in the potential stalker category ... as well as bringing the joy of hearing Brendon say "fuck" several times. *eg*

I love the addition of Stabbing Westward, thats a hugely sex-me-up-and-fuck-me-now song..

and yes, I DO appreciate hearing Brendon's deep fucking voice saying fuck..good god, that voice could make me do pretty much anything..

haha, and the icon is perfect, as always :)

Heh - I never really thought of "What Do I Have To Do?" that way! I just know that it's a really good song, and borders on creepy/stalker dude. And Christopher Hall looks a bit like Brian Molko (Placebo), which is especially nice. :-D

still thinking

Hmmm-
The Ultimate I Like to Watch Song:
You Can Leave Your Hat On (Joe Cocker)

Stalker songs: Silver Springs (Fleetwood Mac- The Dance)
"I'll follow you down till the sound of my voice will haunt you. You'll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you.'

This Beatles song could kinda work for both:

(No Reply)
This happened once before
when I came to your door
No reply
They said it wasn't you
but I saw you peep through
your window

I saw the light
I saw the light
I know that you saw me
'cause I looked up to see
your face

I tried to telephone
They said you were not home
that's a lie
'cause I know where you've been
I saw you walk in
your door

I nearly died
I nearly died
'cause you walked hand in hand
with another man
in my place

If I were you
I'd realize that I
love you more
than any other guy
And I'll forgive
the lies that I
heard before
when you gave me no reply

I tried to telephone
They said you were not home
that's a lie
'cause I know where you've been
I saw you walk in
your door

I nearly died
I nearly died
'cause you walked hand in hand
with another man
in my place

Good choice on Toadies there. :) I'd suggest also "Jigsaw Girl," which is a bit like, well, my theory is voodoo going on there, but that's a bit stalkerish. Probably.

Better Than Ezra's "Sincerely, Me" is a wee bit stalkery... Hm.. I know I'll think of more.

Thanks! "Possum Kingdom" is the only song of theirs that I've heard, and I love that it's so dark and creepy, yet it's sung in this rather sincere tone.

It's a great song - which is why it's one of their (sigh, pout) only songs to hit the radio ever.

If you're interested in hearing more, they are an excellent rock-out band; I'd recommend starting with Hell Below, Stars Above, which was the last one they put out before disbanding. [and I have it, if you'd wanna hear/have it.]
