Since I discovered how comfortable Vans shoes are, I went out and bought 2 more pairs:



Jada - these were on sale for $30!




KVD - I loved the stars, so fun. :-)


Also, I liked the Jada shoes because I'm a fan of simple black shoes. I've got a couple of pair of black ballet flats from Target, but I wanted something a little more supportive and durable. So there it is.



On a more serious note, I know that some of you are in Southern California - or you have family that lives there - and I want to say that I hope that you are all safe, and that you will make it through this mess. {Kind of unrelated, and totally on the gallows humor side - one of the fires is called the "Buckweed Fires". I see that, and read it as the "Buckwheat Fires". Otay!}

i am currently safe as well. i am worried about my boss and my friend - they both live in ramona - they have been evacuated, but may no longer have homes. :(

ok, and YOU read BUCKWHEAT fires...well...a little while ago, the newscaster was talking about an area called Otay Mesa, which is pronounced "Oh-Tie" -- but do you know that she said OH-TAY first???!?!? and i totally giggled.

so apparently we're on some buckwheat wavelength today.

I'm glad that you're safe, and I just hope that your boss and best friend will have homes to come home to when the fires have ended.

Yeah, the Buckwheat wavelength is a pretty strong one! (Now, I have Eddie Murphy as "Buh-wheat" singing "Wookin Po Nub" in my head)

I LOVE the Vans Giseles, but they only last me about two months with everyday wear. :-/ They seriously make feet look so nice and dainty and womanly. My mom even got a pair in size 10 for her. I've been through two pairs already, but I'm wondering is $50 for two months of wear is worth it.

Hmmm - that is definitely a good one. I think that if my shoes came apart after two months of daily wearings, I would probably question whether it is worth buying them again!

I have been eyeing the black and white checkered ones like the star ones you bought. But you know what? Those star ones are pretty sweet.

They had some with the stars, only in red and yellow - but not in my size! :-(

Besides the blue stars, the other option was black and white - I just felt like going for something "pretty".
