Icon help, please!

hiddenmuseOkay, I'm perfectly inept when it comes to making icons. I've got an insane number of images that I'd love to have turned into icons - but I don't know how to resize them!
If any of you could walk me through the process ... or even help me make the icons, I'd appreciate it! :-)
