Film Geekdom :)
Nov. 13th, 2002 05:45 pmOkay ... I've decided on the films I'm going to see. Yes, I actually narrowed it down to seven eight - and thankfully, I won't be dashing all over town from one theatre to another to see them, either. Go to http://www.sliff.org for more information about the Film Festival.
Saturday - 11/16: Lifetime Guarantee: Phranc's Adventure in Plastic and Family Values, along with Phranc's Tupperware Party.
Sunday - 11/17: Spellbound - a documentary about the National Spelling Bee. And a sneak preview of Steven Spielberg Presents Taken, a 10-part series on the SciFi channel. (Only cos it's free ... hehe)
Monday - 11/18: Gigantic: A Tale of Two Johns. Yes, a TMBG documentary. :)
Tuesday & Wednesday - recovery days.
Thursday - 11/21: Amy's Orgasm. Just because.
Friday - 11/22: The Safety of Objects - a Rose Troche film that I'd heard a lot of good things about.
Saturday - 11/23: Hell House - yes, the documentary about the church in Texas that puts on the "definitive" House of Horrors every Halloween. It's like a car wreck - you can't help but look.
Tribute - a film about a small group of tribute/cover bands, and their struggles over two years.
Sunday - 11/24: Waterboys - Japanese film about a group of high-school boys that start a synchronized swim team.
I'm looking forward to it - I don't usually go to the movies like I want to, and when I get in the mood to go to the movies, I never do. This time, I have no excuse. :)
