It's been one week...

(and don't even start on me, fellow BNL fans!)
Yep, one week since being "Partnerized" or "Gay Married" as we're calling it.
It doesn't feel any different, which is probably a good thing. It just feels like something familiar - as though it's been a part of my life for a long time.
We celebrated over the prior weekend, which was a lot of fun. Saturday night was the farewell dinner for one of my co-workers, as well as celebrating the paper-signing. Sunday, we'd gone to brunch at a little French restaurant (Metro Cafe) near our place, then later that night, we went to La Fondue and ended up eating until we almost felt like we could've been rolled out.
Yesterday, it was the "ring exchange". Well, okay, so I had my ring, and Kellie's had to be returned because it was too big! Still, we celebrated with mini-cakes from Citizen Cake - and I will have cupcakes for the time that her ring comes in! And here is the ring:

It's quite pretty, if I say so myself. :-)
And that, my lovelies, is how I'd spent the first week as a "married lady".

Date: 2007-04-29 04:13 am (UTC)Citizen Cake has "standard-sized" cupcakes; as well as mini-cakes of many different flavors. Their lemon cupcake is really good, and they also have a coconut cake that's heavenly.
LaFondue is evil - in the best possible way. And yes, eat as little as possible before going - and when they offer the salad to go - take 'em up on that!
