I think speed dating was invented to avoid first date processing sessions....
When I've gone, FB doesn't really have speed-dating, it's this optional thing (about half play, half don't) where you wear a number tag so people can leave you notes at a booth you pickup throughout the night. Still, FB is more fun if you're single cuz it's the only club I've been to with a consistently datable population.
