For the Geek in all of us ... oh - so it's just me
Otherwise ... I went to the Levi's store after work, and felt like I was left to my own devices when it came to finding jeans. Thankfully I was actually in the mood to look around, rather than give up when I saw that the sizes only went up to 16 in most of the jeans. (To put it simply - I felt almost snubbed, until I was ready to pay for my purchase.)
So yay to Levi's for having Junior Plus (up to size 23, it appeared) and Misses Plus (up to about 24) in a few styles of jeans - on sale, no less! But boo on them for the sales people essentially ignoring me. Yes, I took a comment card home with me, and expressed the aforementioned opinion/frustration.
That's about it for clothing adventures. Nothing too exciting to tell - which is probably a good thing.

Re: 'scuse me while the state of what we term "customer service" makes me barf!
Date: 2005-02-01 05:08 pm (UTC)It bothers me that they're making assumptions on appearance alone. Who's to say that I'm not going to that store to find pants for my sister or looking for something to get a friend?
We might not look like the ideal demographic for the store ... but if we're ready to spend a few hundred dollars, they'll perk up like crazy!
As for some of the people working at the restaurants & stores - I think the big problem is apathy. Feeling like "this is only temporary ... until a job opens up at XYZ" or "...until I make Management."
In the meantime, Customer Service will feel like a nightmare because of many reasons that could start me on a never-ending diatribe!
