Yesterday, my allergist called me the "Posterchild for good asthma patients", because I'd told him that I had ordered a new MedicAlert bracelet, with updated information (I've had one since 1985) - as well as picked up a small Timbuk2 bag to use as an "Asthma Survival Kit". The kit has my Peak Flow Meter (I wanted something besides a sandwich bag to carry it in), my Albuterol and a burst of Prednisone, should an attack be severe enough to merit its use.

Besides that, I was given good news - I can drop back down to the 250/50 Advair, because my bronchitis has improved considerably. I was given another sample pack of the higher dose, in the event that I develop another respiratory infection - I can be prepared. :)

In other news, I had an opportunity to do a good turn for someone. Kind of a way to thank the person that turned in my debit card when I lost it last fall.

What happened is that I'd gone to my bank's ATM yesterday - and someone had left their card in the ATM. So, I took the card out and planned to turn it into the branch office of their bank. Since it was Martin Luther King day, the banks were closed, so I couldn't do that. Instead, I called it into the bank, to let them know that the card had been found - in case the person that lost his card were to report it as lost/stolen.

Yes, I carried someone's card with me overnight. The idea of using it never crossed my mind - probably because I'd had good Karma with someone turning in my card, unused, and I wanted to keep the good Karma going.
