This is Drew. He's a puppy-puppy, at only 4 months old. The look on his face is one of, "Will you be my friend?"


Ah yes, Murdoch ... probably an absolute sweetheart of a dog, except for the fact that he looks possessed.


And finally, the other half of the "Bitch Bites Bitch" incident: Minnie. Yes, she's cute, and yes, she has been forgiven - and found to have probably just been overstimulated.

Agreed - Drew is so cute. And because of his mix, he might be looked down upon ... with that bad rep of Pit Bulls and all.

Mine has pit in him... and is the sweetest thing in the whole wide world... I never would have picked a pit or rottie though... simply because of their negative rep:(

I know - some of those dogs can be absolute sweethearts, but the minority of them that have attacked humans end up tainting the reputation of the others!

I'd think that Drew could be at his happiest in a home with another dog, and space to run around in ... or at least a Human to take him to the beach!

I've been volunteering there for over 6 months now, and I love being able to visit with the cats and dogs.

If I had time to volunteer there, I absolutely would. I know that's an old excuse--"I don't have time"--but I need to get better at managing the activities I ALREADY have before I add another. ;)

I assume it's a good place to volunteer, then?

Definitely!

Kellie (my partner) and I try to go up there once a week - usually on the weekends - and it's a great time. They give an orientation to all new volunteers, with further training for things like dog walking.

They can always use volunteers, even if you're coming around a couple times a month at the most! :-)
