Secrete Santa Wanted

I know, it’s rude to make fun of those with disabilities – but the spelling errors (“doughtier” for daughter, ad infinitum...), the posting is in all caps, and lack of punctuation almost made me want to cry.

My biggest question, though, is how does one “Secrete” Santa? It sounds quite painful, actually. ;)

What bothers me is if it's true...what is she doing with an AOL account and/or a computer? It's not like you can use AOL at the library, you know?

She might just be on disability for an injury that keeps her from working, not necessarily being developmentally disabled, you know? So, you can maybe make fun. :)

When I worked in the public library, I saw people use endless free trials of AOL - AOL is designed for people with no skills or computer literacy, after all.

I don't know how they got away with it, and we'd try to promote the free email sites - but the street people would always bring in those free AOL accounts.

We kept our CD drives locked, so I dunno how they even got them to work - one of life's public library homeless person mysteries!

It seems to me that she is taking the lazy way out, by posting there instead of registering her family with any one of the many charitable organizations who provide toys, books, hampers, etc.

Unless her child is over 18, in which case she'd be out of luck with most of them.
