Moving past

Like many others, I'm starting to move past the anger, frustration and depression over the Election results.

Sure, it wasn't in the "Under 12 Hours" time frame that some people (none of you - no worries, my lovelies) seemed to expect of us, but we all take our time in recovering, you know?

Some people can bounce back easily - while others take a few days, and need a good long soak in the tub to get back to reality. You don't know how much I wanted to grab the bottles of Sweet and Sour mix, and the Amaretto - and prepare a fierce girl drink before work this morning. Then, I decided that perhaps it wouldn't be the smartest thing to do - not the smartest solution to a problem. Also, it could be construed as a problem worse than despondency.

So, that's where I am. Continuing to take my anti-depressants (along with the eleventy billion other drugs), and trying to stay happy.

You're not the only one, girlfriend. On all accounts. Glad to know I'm not alone in struggling to move beyond the 'negative' feelings.
