Today is shaping up to be one of those slow days that I despise. A day that seems to drag on forEVER. :-/
Although, there have been a couple of high points:
a) My LaunchCast station played Metallica's "Unforgiven" and the Violent Femmes' "Add It Up" - and I sang along, like the geek that I am.
b) A client called the Big Boss - not to complain, but to compliment - and I had the message passed along with a "congratulations" tacked on at the beginning. I have to say, it was nice to hear a client say something nice about my work - rather than calling to bitch because something wasn't done *yesterday*.
c) The Cardinals have won Game 6 - forcing a Game 7 in their series against Houston. Go Cards! (Part of me wants to see them go against the Red Sox, because they're my home team ... but another part of me wants to see the Astros - with Roger Clemens - go against the BoSox, just because I get a kick out of seeing former teammates playing against each other.)
So, yeah ... there's that. Not much else is going on around here.
Just one last thing - I want to play shameless promoter for a moment, if only because I like free stuff. And no, this doesn't involve a pyramid scheme to get an iPod. ;)
Actually, this is good for anyone that has Allergic Asthma - or knows someone that has it. The Allergy and Asthma Network/Mothers of Asthmatics is giving away copies of the book Allergic Asthma for Dummies by William E. Berger, MD, MBA. No strings attached - no signing your firstborn over to Hecubus - just fill out a simple form, and they'll send you a copy in the mail within 7 - 10 business days. :)
And oh yeah - their site is a great resource for parents of asthmatic children.
