A girl and her clothes
Jul. 6th, 2004 02:04 pmBecause I am losing weight - and clothes are no longer fitting, in the process - on occasion, I am in need of new clothes. Especially since going to work naked just isn't an option for me.
Unfortunately, my need for clothing, and my desire to not spend outrageous sums of money on said attire, are sometimes not two things that play well together. I know that I need to have more than one pair of pants, two skirts and a dress (along with several tops) that fit properly - for the office - but, I have a hard time with the idea of spending $50 or more on a pair of pants that may only fit for less than 2 months, before they are passed onto Goodwill, because they have become too big for me!
Thankfully, yesterday, I had some good luck in my shopping adventures. I went out, in pursuit of a decent pair of black pants, and returned with said black pants from Macy's($29, originally $99), a knee-length black skirt from J. Jill ($30, originally $69), black cardigan from Macy's ($23, originally $79), a Walcoal bra ($14, originally $47), red sleeveless top with empire waist and lovely design at the empire waist ($22.50 - Old Navy), as well as a floral tank top, also from Old Navy ($12, originally $14.50).
Today, I found an excellent pair of sandals at Aldo, for about $35, originally $59. I am a very happy girl, as you can guess. :)
