(no subject)

Reason #237 that I love this place: While walking to a local shop to pick up cat litter for the cats (Cleo and Teak - the ones that *think* they rule the roost), I had an older black guy come up to me and start talking to me. He asked me if I was from around here - I lied and said that I was visiting from Chicago. Upon hearing this, the man suggested to me that I should take a bus down to Haight Street (about 5 blocks), and go down to Haight Ashbury, "where the white folks hang out". Really.

Quite funny, really.


Also, I seem to be fitting in rather well, as I've become somewhat cynical (well, actually that's always been there) and crack wise about the tourists I see downtown.

as for my Weight Watchers meeting, I lost 2.6 lbs., or a current total of 7.2 lbs.

And I was able to buy my first pair of Old Navy jeans (granted, they are stretch denim ... but, still) ever, and Kellie was kind enough as to buy me a swell linen skirt that I'd had my eye on for a while. :)
