New Record: 6 Days

Guess what? Yes, my stepdad's back in the hospital, yet again.

He was admitted last night, having trouble breathing (not enough fluid being removed during dialysis) and a low-grade fever (possibly due to an infection), and may be in for a few more days of poking and prodding.

Like my mom says, "Some people get homesick, he was hospitalsick".

*sigh* I'll just be glad when this whole rigamarole ends.

my post-work ramblings

well, it seems like my pretty little world is being nicely upended today. Something more serious than my stepdad going into the hospital (again) happened at work, and I will write up the gory details when I'm at home. For now, I will just say that I was not prepared for this one, I still have a job, and I'm almost questioning my loyalty further.

Now, I just have a headache and want to get home - but I have things to be done so I'll be prepared for the wedding tomorrow. Yay me. In the meantime, I think when I leave the office, I'll call Ty with the news about my stepdad - and kick myself in the ass for NOT programming Kellie's new phone number into my phone (I'm a bad girlfriend in that respect).
