For those of you that read Kellie's lj as well as mine ... I have a post-surgery update. :)

I talked to her earlier this evening, and while she was a bit groggy from the anesthesia and the tube shoved down her throat (and yanked out just as unceremoniously), she seems to be doing well. The doc said that her gallbladder was fine, save for that menacing gallstone.

She's supposed to be going home tomorrow, and taking it easy for a week. And I promise to be easy on her when she comes to visit over New Year's. Y'see, instead of being entertained by Steven Page & co., I get the honors this year. I just hope that I can live up to the caliber of previous NYE celebrations ... hehe. ;)

Moving Out

No, I'm not moving out of my apartment or anything. Moving away from AOL is more like it. I'm seriously considering a move to Earthlink - because AT&T is mediocre, MSN is as bad about spam as AOHell - if not worse, and I don't know enough about the other ISPs.

AOL was fun for the 3 years and 4 version upgrades I've had with it, but now, I want to move onto something a little more "user-unfriendly". ;) Okay, maybe not, but AOL seems to have a nasty little stigma attached to it - namely due to those reflective drink coasters they send out on a regular basis. And the spam I get thanks to them ... even with an account set up as "Mature Teen" (for family & business purposes), I still get obscene amounts of pornospam. Seriously.

Now, I get to deal with e-mailing people and companies to tell them of the change of address when it happens. Oh yeah, did I mention that it gives me the chance to completely shed myself of that AOL screen-name I've grown to love to hate? :-D

I'm going to Hell because of one of my guilty pleasures. coughboybandsandbubblegumpopcough

I watched "Boston Public" last night to see if Joey McIntyre can act. The verdict? As long as you're not asking him to do Shakespeare, he's decent. As for his fellow New Kid, Donnie Wahlberg (on "Boomtown") ... damn, he cleans up nicely. And he can act reasonably well. Just like his brother, Mark.

Yes, in another lifetime altogether, I was a boy band whore. Okay, maybe not to the extent of some people ... but yeah, I was good for helping to put a New Kid's kid through University. And, yes, hidden among the stacks of CDs by the cool bands, you might find a CD single from a boy band or pop diva.

Also, am I wrong in hearing Christina Aguilera's song "Dirrty" and just wanting to get down and fuck? Or at least hump someone senseless? :-x Yes, the video is hot & bothered, and almost has me thinking that Christina has a future in porn - right alongside Britney. And, as perverse as it sounds, I sort of admire Christina. She never put up any pretenses about being innocent, so when she came out with the whole Dirty Diva schtick, it wasn't such a shock. Granted, it was as subtle as Elizabeth Berkley in Showgirls, but at least people aren't going to experience collective heart attacks if she came out and said, "Yeah, I like to fuck. Got a problem with that?" (Actually, if she *did* come out and say that, I'd probably be cheering her on for her nerve.)

While I somewhat admire Christina's honesty, that doesn't mean that I'd want to go near her unless I was suited up in biohazard attire and she was wrapped in an entire roll of Saran Wrap. So, no threesome potential there. That dubious distinction goes to Gina Gershon - watch the film Bound and you'll see what I mean. ;)
