It's Friday, and this is a good thing. My first week in a new city went pretty well. I got to meet my friend Shawn (an absolute sweetheart - and fucking tall (6'4")!!) after spending over 2 years blabbering with him online, and not having met him face-to-face before last week. Now, it's just a matter of figuring out when we can get together again - his school and work schedules are a bit screwy, and I'm usually dead to the world by the time he's at work.
This week, it was more "getting to know the lay of the land". Traveling out to the Castro, downtown, the Fisherman's Wharf, and of course ... the requisite Sex Goddess sojourn to Good Vibrations. I've always loved their catalog and the website - and the store was so cool, and felt so "user-friendly", if you will.
Today, I had a job interview at Starbucks, which I think went pretty well. My application & interview form (the interviewer's appraisal, I guess) are being passed onto a Starbucks in the Castro - so I can hopefully get a job in the Fag Hag's Nirvana. ;)
In other news, I have joined Weight Watchers, and lost almost 6 pounds in the first week. :^D I have a long way to go, but it's going to be worth it, I'm sure. It also helps that since the weather is at least fair-to-middling decent, going out for walks is more feasible. Also, I'm trying to cut back the caffeine again - drinking more water. As for OA, I'm considering re-joining, if I end up slipping back into my over-eating habits.
That's about all for now. I will try to blog more later, and I'm sorry that I haven't kept up with the writing like I used to!!
