I love my friend Josh from the Non-Prophets. He cracks me up every week - whether he's scurrying about the stage as Gollum during "8 Mile to Mordor", ranting wildly as Rush Limbaugh, or playing local icon Becky - Queen of Carpet.

Tonight, he sent me a very sweet e-mail:

Carly,
Congratulations! I'm very excited for your move. My older brother has lived in San Francisco for the last five years and he loves it there.
We will all miss you at the shows. I'll always remember your unwavering support for us. One day maybe the NP's will finally grow to San Fran and you can be like
"See, I told you all there was one good thing about Saint Louis!"
Anyway, best of luck on your next adventure, I'm sure you'll find success.

I wrote him back and told him: "Don't tell the others - but you were always my favorite. ;)" And yes - I'd tell that to any other NP-er that e-mails me. Because they're all my favorites, when it all comes down.

It's just nice to get something like that in the e-mailbox. A little reminder that I'm loved, and that I have great friends. :)
