On Friday afternoon, upon returning from lunch, I had home and auto applications in my chair - no note attached, no e-mail sent, basically, no instructions whatsoever.
Considering that I'm used to the producers acting as though the CSRs can read minds & going on the wild assumption that because there are applications on my chair, the producer must want a quote for coverage!
This morning, I come into work to a very curt e-mail that says:
subject: So-and-so
Where's my quote?
You fucking idiot. After cursing and flipping him off at my desk, I sent an e-mail back stating:
I had applications on my chair - but no information on follow up!
Although, I do have your quote...
That still irked me to no end - you can't just put forms in someone's chair and assume that they'll know what to do with them. Hell, I could've just pitched them, blaming it on "well, they were in my chair, but I didn't print them..." But, I was just too damn nice to do that.
Next time it happens - I'm pitching the forms. And if I get an e-mail asking for a quote, I'll just plead ignorance and insinuate that if I were somehow able to read minds, I wouldn't be working here.
