I was back at work today - albeit, for a half-day due to my head MRI, but I was still there. Felt a little better, didn't sound much better. My throat still feels a bit like it was sandblasted. :( But, the raspiness is slowly going from Harvey Fierstein to Girl 6. Now, if I could just lose the runny/stuffy nose bit and the coughing. THAT is really annoying.

As I mentioned, I had an MRI done (as requested by my new neurologist) to make sure that my brain is alright, that there isn't anything besides hormonal shape-shifting, lack of sleep and a need for drug adjustment causing the intermittent seizures I'd been having.

You see, I'm a total stooge. I *thought* that my having a seizure every few months was par for the course. That because it may have been hormonally-related, there wasn't anything I could do, short of going through menopause. Also, I thought that while it's fine and dandy that *I'M* keeping track of my seizures, I should've been reporting them to the doctor as well - and not just the drama diva Grand Mal seizures, either. :-/

So, Dr. Faber (my new doc), adds another seizure drug, and has me get an MRI - just to make sure that there aren't any lesions or scar tissue causing my seizures, in addition to the usual suspects. Anyways, the MRI went well - even if it took them a while to find a vein for the contrast dye (they went for the back of my left hand).

After it was over, I came home, ate a late lunch and took a nap. Now, I'm blogging, doing some last-minute laundry for my trip (jeans & t-shirts) and trying to use my voice as little as possible.

And before I forget, many thanks to Miss Jeska for the wicked awesome Progressive postcard - I loved it! :^D (and how did you know about my small-time obsession with Progressive's advertisements?)
