Catching Up
Sep. 5th, 2003 08:12 pmWell, quite a bit has happened in the past few days! So, let me get all of that out of the way before I do an entry going on and on about the Non Prophets show last night. :)
First, Happy Birthday to Miss Jeska
nakedhead! I hope it's been a great day for you, with lots of good times and those you love spoiling you rotten!
Second, welcome to Nicole -
drivernj! It's about time you got a blog, girl! ;) Glad you're around though.
Family News: My stepdad got out of the hospital today!! Hopefully, this time it'll be for a time longer than 24 hours. He'll be visited by his own little healthcare entourage of a dietitian to go over the diabetic/renal diet he's on, a home health nurse to make sure that he's going to continue being in reasonably good health physically (as well as setting him up with 24/7 oxygen for the next few weeks), and a physical therapist, as he'd lost a considerable amount of weight and in turn, has become rather weak.
Sure, it all seems sucky. But, he's home now, and will be in excellent hands - although mom is obviously pissed at the hospital for missing the signs of what landed him in the hospital 24 hours after discharge.
Thank you to anyone that's kept my family in their thoughts and prayers - it means a lot, and I think that knowing that there is positive energy being sent our way helps us remain as optimistic as possible, all things considered.
